About The IT Cloud

The IT Cloud was formed in 2011, as a result of merging two separate companies, by Matt Palmer and Kristian Hammond. Both directors have over 20 years of experience, in a variety of hands-on support roles and had independently started their own businesses some years before.

Earlier this year, Oxfordshire based GHM acquired The IT Cloud, but our management remains in place to continue serving our customers and further develop the business. GHM has been providing telecoms, connectivity, and IT support services since 2005 and has previously worked with The IT Cloud on several mutual projects and customers. They are currently shortlisted for the Reseller of the Year, Mid-Market category at this year’s Comms Business Awards

The ethos of our business was simple; run an outsourced IT company but with an in-house feel. By maintaining close client relationships and keeping staff turnover low, we felt it would be possible for our team to genuinely seem like members of your team. You shouldn't find yourselves having to explain the same things over and over again to different people. Instead you would deal with the same people each time you have an issue, for a more seamless and effective service.

We firmly believe in providing inventive solutions for our clients and fully recognise that there is no such thing as a standard solution any more. Some companies may be ready to go 'full cloud' others may not. Most likely your business is somewhere in between and we won't push you in one direction or the other. The most important thing for us, is that you have a solution that is robust, secure and able to grow with your business.

Almost as importantly, the IT cloud only employs non-geeky but technical IT people. You're unlikely to see any anoraks or bowl cuts if you visit and our office certainly isn't located in the basement. Instead we employ technical professionals with a good sense of humour and an average of 20 years in the industry.
